Sheep Ireland update launched for the free AgriDataTransfer software which is provided free of charge on all EID readers supplied by TGM.

Any Sheep Ireland users using an EID tag reader from TGM can use the reader to record animal weights, with either manual entry or direct from a Bluetooth weigh scale.  The free AgriDataTransfer software will download the weights from the reader and create a simple file to email to sheep.ie.

Weighing sheep using an EID reader is much faster than manually entering weights on a phone screen. It is also completely accurate if linked to a Bluetooth scale. The animal’s EID is always correct, as is the weight of the animal. There is no opportunity for human error to record invalid data.
